The conglomeration of programs included in this suite seemed to be an attemt to include anything that could be remotely connected with the burning and ripping sections I needed, and was a waste of hard drive space.
Don’t buy this unless you have an uncontrollable urge to fill up megabytes of hard drive with rubbish. My message to the producers – You had a good reputation, but this product will seriously dent it. Either get the product right before you release it, or stop releasing unpdates until you have something worth buying.
I had used Nero demo’s before so I knew what it was like. A lot of reviews I have seen have slated it,but in my opinion it is the best software of its type. There are a lot of freeware programs which have similar applications but Nero seems to have the best variety. I think it will be of great use for a long time to come and am quite pleased with the purchase no complaints about packing or delivery either.
Please reboot your system and after this start installation again. Used to work great on my computer but after having to reset something now blocks the installation. When you install the program it has to install a program called “Reboot Validator” and then it asks to reboot the computer. Once rebooted the computer tries to continue to install the program but gets greeted with a message saying “There is a system reboot pending. Please reboot your system and after this start installation again” see attached photo.
I rebooted the computer several times and I am greeted with the same message!! Why the hell is this happening!? It feels as if Nero are doing this deliberately to force me to buy the newer version Nero I paid for the product and I therefore expect it to work. If this isn’t resolved then I will refuse to buy any Nero product in future. Utterly disgusting!! I couldn’t get my old Nero 6 to work with Windows 7 64 bit, so spent out on Nero Multimedia However the Back-up is not helpful for me.
It takes an absolute age, is not at all clear, and I can’t get it to do the incremental back-up I would expect and which the blurb says it will do. It has used vast amounts of external hard drive which I will have to delete once I’ve organised something else. I too will be going to Norton for back-up. Probably the best on the market and very useful for burning files.
Creating video DVDs is a little more awkward and requires a lot of memory otherwise the programme tends to break down. I use it a lot for videos which I create from those taken on holiday and send out to fellow passengers and the tour company. They seem to like them and it gives me something to do! Thoroughly satisfied – and impressed – with the supplier of this Nero product.
Worth mentioning, as a serious criticism of the Nero Company, that my original Nero Suite 10 ceased to function simply because my pc crashed several times. Reinstalled the Suite each time pc crashed – then Nero informed me I had made too many changes and that I HAD to purchase an expensive upgrade.
That upgrade was Platinum – absolute rubbish and I demanded a refund – that was processed very quickly.
Nero has an aggressive sales attitude – so beware consumers! I have used Nero 5, 6, 7, 9 and now The latter is the most feature rich yet. It improves upon 9 which I found horrid, being slow and difficult. Download the latest version of Nero.
