Verified Purchase. I picked up this book to fill in the blanks for MS Project It not only filled in the blanks, but created some new gaps and then filled those too! Learned things about MS Project in general I did not know. It may have a little too much – “How do you create and run a project” for more advanced users, but good overall book with lots of tips that you need many, many months of experience to find on your own.
I highly recommend it for beginners and give it a 4 star for due to the additional project management information included that most advanced folks will find superfluous. My technical level in MS Project is self-taught and just good enough to set up the platform to create tasks in Project that flow to SharePoint and sync to Outlook. This book helped me plan a lot of the how to’s as well as set up everything allowing column headers to sync, etc.
I look forward to use this book when I begin using Project for resource utilization. This was a good purchase and I am going to keep ahold of this book for a long time as a point of reference. It is very difficult to use the kindle version of this book as a reference for two reasons. First, there are no “real page numbers” so when it say go to page to learn how to do something, you cannot.
